This idyllically positioned East Hopkins home is a charming Victorian, just two blocks from Ajax. Originally built in 1889 was by the founder of the Aspen Times newspaper, the Observatory is a historic Aspen landmark. In 2002, it won the Colorado Award for Remodeling Excellence, combining its whimsical Victorian nature with state-of-the-art amenities and appliances along with a collection of over 50 pieces of renowned art. The pièce de résistance is the copper dome observatory and telescope on the rooftop, installed by a former owner as a gift to her stargazing son.
