Town life and nature, big city amenities, yet a calm hospitable warmth. These are some of many reasons that Aspen is one of kind. Most magical of all is the local powder snow, called Champagne! Light as feather, with flakes so thin, the slopes become a soft carpet beneath you - and the city turns into one of the best ski resorts on the globe. Located at the foothill of the Rocky Mountains, in Midwest of Colorado, the magical city of Aspen, with 8 thousand inhabitants, is a secluded paradise. There is nothing on the entire American continent like the Aspen / Snowmass ski resort. Four mountains for those who want to ski or snowboard: Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk and Snowmass. All of them with well-marked ski slopes coated with the highest snow quality. With boutiques and stores from the biggest international brands, cozy cafés and funky art galleries, Aspen brings together the best of the best. Famous for its après-ski, there are many restaurants, bars, pubs and nightclubs options from the hippest to the most sophisticated.

Highlands Mountain, located just 2.5 miles from the center of Aspen, is the locals' favorite mountain with lots of ski trails and its hard-core ‘Bowl'. Buttermilk Mountain, located just 4.9 miles from downtown is beginners favorite, as it has dozens of easy, wide and quiet trails from top to bottom - one of the few places in the world where a skier & snowboarder with little practice can descend all over the mountain. Snowmass is on of the most picturesque 8 mile drives from downtown Aspen and is a must! It’s one of the largest ski areas in the world and boasts hundreds of runs for all levels and a convenient leisure center at the base that offers restaurants, shops and accommodations. Snowmass is the family oriented and quieter version of trendy Aspen and offers an infrastructure ready to receive families and groups. In addition to hotels and condominiums with all the comforts, Snowmass offers great family-friendly restaurants, and the Treehouse Kids' Adventure Center is Colorado's largest children's complex (located at Snowmass Base Village). Snowmass is a massive mountain with a peak reaching 12,509 feet and has the longest vertical ski lift in the United States.

When your in town you can try all four mountains! Getting around from one mountain to the other couldn't be easier or safer through Aspen’s free circular public transportation system, which operates every few minutes and till the late night hours of the night.
